And can the flare piece that is in the end of it be taken off? The hole I made in it is for an inch in diameter pipe.** A: Never been able to get it to work. I tried so many different ways and box builds. Just could never get it to fire up. Not saying this is a bad product. For all I know it could be working for 99.99% of the people who have bought it. Mine could be the one in one billion that just won't fire up. I ended up making my own. The box, or whatever you are doing build wise. Plays the largest role. In this case 8 of my designs never would allow it to fire. Oddly enough the box I made and the "fires stick" as I call it. Worked the first time. Built two more as a add on just made life a lot easier from a heat perspective just added a lot less time to heat for the purpose I was going for made it an easy choice to keep building on. Now I have a heat box that will melt gold. Which in the end was what I needed it for. The bonus is I now can forge anything **Q: Is this suitable for temps above 2000? I'm wanting to make sure it can efficiently melt brass.** A: It depends on how big and how insulated your furnace is. I was able to melt copper in a 12" x 14" furnace with 5" walls with a burner about half powerful but it was very slow. If a smaller furnace it should be fine for melting brass. **Q: does this model have an air injection** A: It has Venturi openings around the gas injection. It has an adjustable collar to control air flow through them. **Q: I am new to using propane to melt.Do i bolt this into my foundry?
