So far, my real-world usage has been great. It does what I need, it's easy to clean, and it feels well-built, contrary to other reviews. The 1L capacity holds a large amount of tea and keeps it hot for hours ... the carafe is simple to clean and is durable - I have dropped mine but you would never know it. It never leaks, it is not too heavy to hold, the flavor and taste of whatever I put in it (tea, it is tea) is never impacted by the carafe and I love the blue color. One of the best things I have ever purchased - cannot recommend enough.
