The quality of the reel for this price (even including the rod) is well worth it. I bought this setup for surf fishing specifically to catch Bull Reds and of course loads of sharks that come with the SC territory.The first time using this setup, I was able to bring in 2 monster Bulls, 6 small sharks, and a catfish within two hours. I lined the reel with 40lb Braid and had absolutely no fear of the line snapping or the reel not being able to handle heavy fish. Given the water action, I was throwing a 4oz pyramid weight.Seller:Prior to purchasing, I was reading a lot of negative comments about the packaging. It seems many people have had to order replacements, which is never fun. My order came in one piece, but was by no means packaged super thoughtfully. I Ordered hoping it would come unbroken and gave the seller the benefit of the doubt.*To the seller: I highly recommend at least using some foam wrapping around the rods when placing in the boxes.
