Go with the 4000 since you soon will not be able to buy components for the 2500. The 4000 receiver is smaller with the addition of a light and is a much better design. **Q: How long does the battery last?** A: Mine have been working for 16 months without being replaced. And they trigger probably 4 times a day minimum. **Q: On the dakota alert dcma-4000 wireless detector driveway alarm system can the transmitter send signal to two receivers at same time?** A: OFFERS AN EXPANDABLE ALARM SYSTEM - You can add up to 16 different transmitters to the DCR-4000 Receiver if you wish to monitor a larger perimeter. DCMA-4000 is not compatible with 2500 or 3000 series products. **Q: Can you power this with POE?** A: Sorry, Power Over Ethernet is not an option. The receiver is powered via a plug in transformer that goes from 110 VAC to 12 VDC. ## Frequently Bought Together - Dakota Alert Wireless Driveway Alarm Sensor - DCMT-4000 Long Range, Passive Infrared Motion Detection, Home Security, Backyard Monitoring, Entry Alert, Wireless Doorbell - Dakota Alert Driveway Alarm Sensor - DCPA-4k Plus Driveway Alarms Wireless Outside Weatherproof Alert System, 1-Mile-Long Range Sensors, Receiver & Vehicle Detecting Probe Transmitter & 50' Wire --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/305006229-dcmt-4000-passive-infrared-motion-detector-transmitter-wireless-driveway-alarm](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/305006229-dcmt-4000-passive-infrared-motion-detector-transmitter-wireless-driveway-alarm) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-11-08*
