They have to be stretched to get on her foot. I probably should have returned them when I had the chance. Unfortunately I missed the return date by 4 days. Today I found my 1 year old granddaughter with one of the heels in her mouth. When she took it out she still had something in her mouth. Upon further observation I found the rubber heel had detached from the shoe. This is a choking hazard.
