Review: Bordeaux lip stick and London gloss - Since this lipstick and lip gloss is almost 100% natural and safe, it does lack the texture and longevity of many of the lipsticks and lip glosses that I have been used to. I went to the Instagram account for Charlotte. Cook cosmetics to see the colors on skin tones. The swatches provided here are not at all like the colors in real life. I purchased Bordeaux which is warmer than it appeared on the CCC Instagram photos as well as the color chart here. The lipstick is opaque and covers thoroughly, but tends to evaporate and soak into the lips and leaves a substantial stain of color thereafter. I purchased the lip gloss in London, which did look like the swatch on the CCC Instagram account. It’s very hard to find nontoxic lip glosses that have shimmer. This is a very shimmery lavender lip gloss, but like the lipstick does not have that lip gloss slick feeling. It’s not Matte, but it just sort of absorbs into your lips, but still leaves a slight shimmery lavender tone. I am on the fence about purchasing Other colors. I do love that this is the cleanest lip stick and lip gloss product along side, Honest Beauty and maybe a handful of other brands.
Review: Smells like castor oil / Isn't very hydrating - The color is nice. It stays on for about 2-4 hours if I don't drink or eat. The only thing I don't like is that it smells like castor oil (since it's one of the ingredients) but also it isn't very hydrating for the lips which is a bit strange since it's oil-based. It's very matt and dry. I would recommend applying a layer of gloss or colorless lip balm on top

A: I’m sorry you had that experience, I didn’t have that at all. It stayed creamy and hydrated the whole evening. I would say add a layer of your favorite lip gloss or chapstick; just one layer and it should fix it.
