It is a little bit smaller - which is great because we moved to a smaller house and our bathroom is a little bit smaller, too - but puts out a lot more heat than our previous one did. It's pretty quiet, and seems to be about the same whether using the fan on low or on high. It gets HOT in a big hurry, which is good for our situation because we don't have to heat the house just to get showered and ready for the day. I appreciate the safety button on the bottom that shuts it off immediately if tipped over.
