It is an example of someone using Android and slapping a very poorly thought out user experience on top of it. I would not recommend this product t all. It may work for the developer geeks, but for consumers and users, this is definitely not worth the aggravation and frustration. I have even less confidence in Android, it may work well on phones and tablets, but not these kinds of TV streaming devices. Come on people, how hard is it to think CONSUMER and stop thinking flashy OS or APPS. It is about the experience and my experience has been really frustrating. The frustrations were: 1. The remote can switched between scroll and mouse, however, you end up switching so much between the two mode to properly navigate the screen/apps. The thinking is you "touch" the icons and swipe the screen. I don't know about you, but my TV is not touch and if I could use my touch devices to navigate the TV screen, then this would not be an issue, but this goes to show the thought that went into this product. 2. Plugging in a keyboard is absolutely essential to do any typing, otherwise you will be wasting a lot of time using the remote to do typing. 3. The APPS, the primary one I wanted to use top stream from my DLNA server does not even support DLNA, how disappointing. I had to install other apps, which required yet another set of applications (Video Encoding) to actually work. I eventually got the streaming to work, but the effort and screen navigation with the remote make this a useless device. I want to enjoy watching a moving, YouTube or TED, but the apps scrolling is made for TOUCH and this TV Box don't event get that!!!! I would much rather recommend devices which allow you to navigate on your touch device and then it "appears" on your TV. That makes more sense, but putting the android on this device is just poor design and very little thinking that went into this product.
