When you open the bottle/add it on your batter, it does smell sooo strong and does not smell "natural" but don't be discouraged as it will change when you start baking. The finished products smells and taste like hazelnut without that strong smell from the bottle. This came in a plastic bottle, I prefer if it is on a glass bottle though just like their other products. A tiny drop goes a long way and the flavor and scent it gives is absolutely wonderful! It is an emulsion rather than an extract, so it's slightly viscous.
