A few days later, I had a small rip in it. I tried Gorilla Glue to fix it because I really liked this seat, but that didn't work. Since then, I've ordered and returned four toilet seats because I hated all of them. And unlike this one, none would firmly stay in place with a non-electric bidet attachment on it. The hinges on this one make it permanently stay in one spot. I couldn't remember where I bought this and ended up with a hard, black seat. Although I like my new one because of the quiet-close feature, I'm adding this one to my Wish List again because 1.5 years later, I had zero complaints. If the rip hadn't shown up, I'd still have this. July 31, 2021: I had a wooden black seat for the longest time, but it was the hard kind that would loudly slap when I closed it. It also had a chip in it that showed a white spot on an all-black toilet seat. I tend to shy away from soft seats because they move all over the place and are annoying. But so far, so good. One thing to note is that it isn't a slow closing toilet seat. The cushion is nice to have, but it is plastic so if they back of your legs get sunburnt, it may stick to you because your skin is warm & it's best to not get up very quickly 😏. Yet the softness helps a lot. Even the lid has padding too. It is much better than a cold plastic seat. This is my third one, though. After 2 years the vinyl cracks.
