Because I have natural white and gray, weakly bleached mid-shaft and previously colored red and then bleached ends, I used the Ion pre-color treatment to even the color. Mixed with the Ion Sensitive Scalp 20 volume developer and left on for 30 minutes. Rinsed, shampooed with Redken Magnetics and finished with the Ion after-color treatment. Very happy with the result and will be using again. The color has faded somewhat after ten shampoos but is expected with a demi-permanent. I’ve got about 3 inches of growth (gray and medium mousey brown is my natural,) but the dyed part was getting extremely brassy.
