This adapter is an auxilary audio input adapter that will let your Zune, iPod, MP3 Player or any device that has a 3.5mm audio output be played through the factory stereo system. All controls will have to be done on the device you are connecting. CD quality sound- static free clear audio sound. Connection is done at the back of the radio. Review: Nice addition to stock radio - This is exactly what I was looking for. Installs easily, no splicing, plugs right into stock radio of a 2008 Toyota Tacoma. The only drawback is that it won't play if my MP3 player is charging. Don't know if its just my particular MP3 player. Other than that works good and sounds good. UPDATE: I did not have any trouble playing music from my phone while it was charging, so therefore I believe it was just the MP3 player I had.

I followed a Youtube tutorial on how to disassemble my car, and install this. Everything worked great, as this was the first time I have done anything like this to my car. I had a stock radio, and now I can finally hook up my iphone to play music. The sound on this is perfectly clear, and I haven't had any issues with it, and I've had it for about 3 months. When I have my iphone charging, I do hear a hissing noise through the speakers, but thats probably bc of some electric static. If it bothers me, i just unplug it from the charger. All in all, Couldnt be happier with this product

This is exactly what I was looking for. Installs easily, no splicing, plugs right into stock radio of a 2008 Toyota Tacoma. The only drawback is that it won't play if my MP3 player is charging. Don't know if its just my particular MP3 player. Other than that works good and sounds good. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easiest and best option for adding an Aux-in to Toyota Tacoma

I had been searching for an easy work-around to Toyota's bonehead mistake in not adding an Aux-in to the 2008 Tacoma's...they coincidentally solved that problem the next year. This was an extremely easy and effective way to get around this problem. This was way easier and from my perspective a much better choice than installing an FM modulator. With this unit you can hear the slightest, but barely audible feedback between songs and when the vehicle is not moving...but you have to intentionally listen for it! Just turn the volume on your device to 80%+ and let the radio do the rest of the work. Good luck and enjoy. Installation: There are videos on the web from comparable manufacturers showing the installation. But to put it into words...pop out the plate that holds the control knobs for heat/ac/vent (just pull out the fan and position knobs, use use needle nose pliers to pull out the plate. there are 4 clips on the inside corners). Once that is out, push to side and look up inside. You will see four bolts that hold the radio/dash unit in place. (hint: use at 4"+ ratcht extension). Once the bolts are out, just slid the head unit out (may need a little wiggle), then locate the slot where you plug this gadget in. You can stuff the adapter box in the back and then run the wire out through the glove box. Whole process took me 15 minutes.
