They do taste like the flavors they are intended to taste like if you chew on them (lemon, lime, strawberry, chocolate). They just get kind of sticky and messy after a few sips and after a little while, they lose their rigidity and become floppy, gelatinous tubes. Me and my kids weren't thrilled with them but I think younger kids would likely love them.
