If the green light is flashing, it does sound connected though. Check how many bars have lit up, and turn it off for now. The charger won’t work if your battery overheats (through work or this -) Best of luck. **Q: Does the bl2036 h4 battery fit this?** A: As far as I know Black and Decker only make one 36V battery. I am sure the battery you mention is 36V - that is what the 36 in the product code means, so this battery will fit your 36V strimmer. Compatible batteries can also be found online, often a lot cheaper and also higher capacity - the 20 in the product code means 2.0 Amp hrs, and you can get a 3.0 Amp hr compatible battery battery cheaper than the authentic B&D 2.0 one. Well Done Black and Decker. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does the job *by M***T on 7 July 2025* It's a big, cordless, well built machine but is quite heavy. Trims and edges very well. The auto replenish feature for the cutting wire works well and the adjustable extension facility caters for the tall and the small user. My main criticism is the so-called "upgrade" to the handle at times makes the strimmer quite awkward to hold. The previous model which had a proper handle with an integrated trigger was a much better design. Good battery.
