GEARWRENCH 85988 12-piece XL GearBox Double Box End metric ratcheting wrench set consists of 1 of each 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19mm XL GearBox ratcheting wrenches. Ratcheting box end needs as little as 5° to move the fastener as opposed to 30 degrees for standard box end wrenches. The standard box end combined with the long pattern length gives this wrench excellent torque capabilities to break a stubborn, rusted fastener. The ratcheting box end then makes the loosening or tightening of the fastener fast and safe. The box end features improved box end strength from GEARWRENCH's off-corner loading and at the same time, reduces fastener rounding. The double box end ratcheting wrenches are made from the finest chrome vanadium steel for precision long-lasting tool life.

Review: Go to for breaking bolts - These spanners are my first Gearwrench product. Gearwrench are owned by Apex tool group. These tools are made in Taiwan versus PRC and have withstood some serious abuse. I recommend them. I now use these over breaker bars due to the risk of slipping being virtually nil (apply torque with one hand and hold another over the ring end). I purchased the remaining 5 piece spanners to complete the set from desertcart US as it was significantly cheaper to import. Do not buy the full 17 piece set as this is, for reasons only desertcart understands, significantly more expensive than the 12 piece and 5 piece sets separately. The ultra polished finish is a bit overkill as it will inevitably get scratched. But they are tools and tools should be used. Before using them in anger, I cut them into some shadow foam. I highly recommended doing this to keep them to hand and organised.
