To continue to incorporate the story into our lessons, I ordered this graphic novel by Everheart & Smith. It is definitely a much, much shorter read than the classic novel, but essentially highlights the travels, the problems, and solutions Phileas Fogg faces on his 80-day journey around the globe. The book is a very easy read for my 5th grader, but it basically summarizes the entire story in 65 pages. The graphic novel includes the main characters found in the classic novel: Mr. Fogg, Jean, Aouda, and of course the detective.
