Ones I have my little area all brushed up I use a rag and start at the stone that I brushed first and rub off any excess. Once done I continue with another roughly 20 sq ft area and do the same until done. You can take breaks in between or even wait days to continue. Still comes out looking great. Our walnut travertine had literally bleached to al ist white over the last two years since we didn’t treat it during that time and Miracle Sealant brought it back to life. It didn't last more than a month, so it was a total waste of money and time. I don't think it is something you want to use on your honed marble. If you are looking just to seal, buy a sealer that doesn't enhance colors or change the sheen. (I am no stone expert, but I wouldn't put it on my marble)! **Q: How clean does the river rock tile need to be in a shower that was installed 2 years ago before applying enhance and seal?** A: I over did the cleaning as the grout needed a lot of work. I use diluted cloro for the mold, rinsed then I did diluted vinegar. i waited until the shower floor was paper dried before I applied the sealer. I followed directions and did 2 coats. So far we are very happy with the results. **Q: How do I prepare the slate for preparation? Can I just use warm water and detergent?** A: I used dish soap and water. Gave the stone a quick rubbing with a firm, but not hard ,bristle scrub brush. Then rinsed with fresh water. Let dry, then applied the 511. The 511 is amazing. That is how I did my two walkways. it took time but. worth it. I have a rather large back patio which I did ss well. Because the area I was to clean, and then enhance , was so large , I very, very carefully power washed to clean. If you decide to power wash , be very careful because too much force could flake this type of stone. I hope this was helpful. **Q: I need a grout seaaler for use in shower with glass tiles. Grout is buttercream colored. Will this work or better suggestions** A: I don't have glass tiles so not sure for that as I used on a natural stone shower floor but my grout was light beige. Product worked well. Slightly darkened grout to what it looks like when wet. Holding on very nicely about a month in with much less soap scum on it. If you've done any kind of tile work in your entire life you know this is a big fat hairy lie. LOL. Still...nice try whoever wrote up your product description. I resealed our two-person slate shower with this, which entailed me scrubbing all of my tiles on my hands and knees to make sure that they were clean, waiting a few days for it to dry, then applying this product, then wiping it off, waiting a day, then wiping this product on again, and wiping it off again. You know, a simple one-step process that took many hours of back-breaking work. LOL. I will have to say that this product provides a very slight sheen but not overly glossy which is exactly what my wife and I wanted. The nuances and coppery colors of the slate really pop out now and my wife says the shower has never looked more beautiful since we have owned it in 2008 (when I had simply used a well-known sealer back then). Applying this product I simply used a wide paint brush, and to wipe it off I use strips of an old white towel. This product definitely has a caustic smell to it, but it is not nearly as bad as different product that I have had some experience with 2 years ago. The OTHER product was horrendous and smelled like turpentine and old feet. This product did not have that "old feet" smell, but you are still going to want to use this in a well ventilated area as it is rather turpintine-like. I would definitely use this product again, and is all I would ever use in the future.
