Do you ever feel that adding weight in 5 pound increments is too much PlateMate magnet weights attach to your dumbbells or weight plates allowing you to add weight in the increments you want.

Review: A must have with adjustable dumbbells - I bought these when I purchased a set of Nuobell dumbbells so that I could have a more gradual increase weight wise. These are excellent and work really well, extremely happy with purchase.
Review: Perfect Fit and Function but PRICEY - The fit and function is like an Apple Product. Very expensive but it works and it works very well. 2 Pairs / 4 platemates of of 1.25lbs plates (2.5lbs per pair) will run you $100. $100 for 5 pounds total of weights is expensive. Is it worth it? For me yes. Adding micro increments of weight extremely fast and without hassle is very convenient and foolproof. Magnets at times seem too strong but it’s better than not strong enough. Fits well with Ironmasters adjustable dumbells and Kabuki Kyubells. Will stick on anything steel or iron. If there’s a thin coating of urethane, it will probably work as well but I havnt tried. If you think you can DIY your own magnets on micro plates…. Think about how long those adhesive magnets will work time over time again after. Eventually that adhesive will peel off. Just buy once cry once and you’ll have these micro progressive overload plates forever

**Q: Will these fit on olympic size barbells?**
A: They will not slide over the end of an olympic barbell, as the inner hole is not quite large enough.  There is, however, another product called "fractional weight plates" that works with Olympic barbells. **Q: For Nuobells, can you add these to the 5lb core to get effective 7.5 lbs?  My concern is the nuobell core is plastic, so not sure these would stick?**
A: According to Rogue Fitness, the Nuobells "...uses real, machined steel weight plates..." so, yes, the platemates would work. I use them with IronMaster and they connect to the end plate screws on them quite well (in fact, it's sometimes difficult to pull them off!)

**Q: What is the diameter of the donut 1.25lbs weights?**
A: Dimensions: 4-1/2" (11.43cm) outside diameter, 1-7/8" (4.875cm) inside diameter, 1/2" (1.27cm) thickness

**Q: Will these work with square IronMaster dumbells?**
A: YES! I bought them particularly because I was an IronMaster distributor and wanted something for the "in-between" weights (I couldn't convince them to produce a 1.25lb plate). I use them with my Quick-Locks as well as on the long bars. They are a bit pricey, but I'm considering a 2nd pair. Worth every nickel!

I bought these when I purchased a set of Nuobell dumbbells so that I could have a more gradual increase weight wise. These are excellent and work really well, extremely happy with purchase.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Added weight you can stick anywhere

I already had the 2.5 pound version of these so I knew what to expect. I thought these would be much smaller but they aren't. The size is about the same in diameter but they are not as thick if that makes sense. The magnets are just as strong and the cover seems just as durable. I love these because you can really place them on any painted cast iron surface. I essentially use them on kettle bells either on the flat bottom part or on one of the flat sides. It is not recommended for kettle bells but it works great. They stay in place through a set and don't move an inch. They could become a hazard if someone would swing the weights very violently or bang them together but who does that ? They are expensive for what they are but they are a niche product and if you need them the alternatives are not easy to come by.
