## Description

The history of the company VOSTOK began in 1942, when one of the Moscow watchmaking facilities was evacuated from Moscow to a small town Chistopol located on the Kama River. Defense equipment was the only company production during the war years, but as soon as the war ended VOSTOK began producing mechanical wrist watches, the main manufacturing element since. In 1965, Vostok was appointed official watch supplier to the Defense Department of the Soviet Union. This year marks the creation of the famous watch "Komandirskie" ("Commander"). The military watch has become very popular even with people who were not aware of which end of the gun bullet comes off, mainly due to high accuracy, excessive reliability and durability. The appearance of the watch also contributes to its appeal - functional and clear design invoked the feeling of belonging to the harsh world of professional combat. The experience that VOSTOK gained through the development of the army watch was the basis of our next special watch - "Amphibious". This impressive timepiece in stainless steel case has endured the depth of 200 m, a kind of wrist submarine. Review: Very Good Quality - The watch bezel does not have that clicking sound to it. and it goes both ways. Setting a date is a pain. But a unique watch for a party conversation starter.
Review: Stopped - Had it for 2 days and it just stopped ticking. Not much to say. Does not work. Exchanged it: I sent the first one in and revcieved a new one worked better kept on time, then stopped agian. I think I figured it out. It only works if it's right side up, since I wear it on the under side of my wrist it stops after an hour or 2. Really wanted to love this watch as it's the nicest watch I've ever recieved but it just doesn't work. Just going to stick with my 10 dollar watche, probably. Returning it again, for good this time.

I really enjoyed wearing this watch because of the look, perfect size, and general feel of it’s sturdiness. However, I did return it because I could not get used to the military time style design. I did quickly order a different Vostok/Komandirskie Amphibian watch and I am waiting for it. These are top notch good quality watches. I Highly recommend any of these different models from this company.
