Review: One of the best cooling towels for golf - My husband is a golfer and plays year-round here in Florida. Since it gets quite hot here in the summer, he has tried several products to help him stay cool. I first purchased a couple of different bandanna-type neck ties, with less than desirable results. The golf course pro-shop sells the Frogg Toggs cooling towel, but my husband didn't buy it because he thought it was too expensive. But when I saw that it was half-price through desertcart, I snapped it up. He has only used it once, but it seemed to work well, and the cooling properties last much longer than the bandanas. I was horrified when I washed it before use and it dried into a stiff, unusable product. But when I read the instructions, it said to keep it moist, so I re-wet it and folded it back into it's original container. I stored it in the refrigerator until needed, and he said it was cool and moist when he used it on the course. Good product.

**Q: Does this one have a slit in it? I'm trying to find one for stroller buckles**
A: No it does not have a slit in it. You could cut one if needed just don't pull it at the slit to wring it out. It's up to you.

**Q: What is the dimensions of the towel?**
A: yes, if you scroll down the page to the product details it says that this towel is Product Dimensions: 10 x 3 x 3 inches ; 6.4 ounces. I think when it is wet it weighs more, and it dries very hard and stiff, you store it wet to keep it pliable. I use it in the really guid heat, I have other products that work well too.

**Q: Arrived slightly damp (condensation inside plastic) and had a white powdery substance on part of the towel - is that normal?**
A: Mine did not arrive damp but it was more pliable new just out of the container compared to how stiff it gets after it dries out after use.  Mine did not have any white powdery stuff on it.

**Q: Does it have a really "plastic" smell? Mine has a very strong odor when it's wet, will this dissipate, do I have to air it out?**
A: The Towel is sealed in the package so I don't know if there is a smellGinger

I remember a friend who was wheelchair-bound recommended these to me. The first ones I bought were like shammy leathers - hard when dry but put them under the tap and they go soft AND HOLD THE WATER IN for maybe a couple of hours. Put round your neck and it is like having a cold towel that does not dry in the heat cooling you down. Tried to buy more recently and they seem not to sell them I think because they were made from something not so good like PVA. Tried the microfibre cooling towels but in comparison these were no good. Then I found this online and yes - back to that shammy-leathery stuff that really works. Can't recommend enough for a hot day.
