A: Yes, your standard plastic straw (like the classic rainbow striped ones).

**Q: Whats the length?**
A: it is the standard length as sold in stores...I just wanted all pink for my grand daughters birthday party

**Q: Why does it say wash before use? I’ve been using them for months without washing. Should I worry?**
A: To be safe, it's a good idea to wash the straws.  Like you I usually don't wash the straws.

**Q: how large is the diameter of the straw?**
A: 0.6cm or 1/4" diameter.  The same as the straws you can buy in a box at the grocery store.

I ordered and received 50 count, bright pink, plastic drinking straws. So far all of the straws I've used have 2 holes, one at each end and they they work as expected. The holes are about 5mm, which is just slightly larger than I prefer, not a big deal. They are not ideal for thick milk shakes or fresh fruit smoothies, but there are other straws you can purchase just for thick drinks. These straws handle most other cold liquids and as another reviewer pointed out you are less likely to poke yourself in the eye with these nice, bright colors! I will buy these straws again and recommend them to others.
