The instructions are very easy to understand. **Q: How much space is needed behind the chair for it to fully recline?** A: I would allow two feet to be safe. Beautiful and comfortable chair...looks much more expensive than the price. Very, very happy with the two we ordered! **Q: Does this have good lumbar support and does it recline all the way back?** A: It has no lumbar support . However it reclines all the way back and I feel a lumbar support kick in as I recline. The chair is very well made and it dims firm-perhaps firm enough to assume there are inner springs in the seat. I can see it lasting for years! My husband loves it. It is firm enough that he sits rather high in it, unlike his old one that only lasted a year. He is 5’11” and weighs about 185 and it fits him well. The fabric is phenomenal . Very nice and soft. Consider that it is a manual pushback recliner with no handle and takes stomach & back muscles to close it. I'm just kind of short, so it's hard for me to lean back with my feet on the ground. HAHA!The cushion on the chair is really nice and springy, and time will wear it in beautifully. I love everything about the chair - the look, the feel, the comfort, the ease of assembly and how great it looks in our room! Nice to be able to sit in it before purchasing. Decided to try it. The chair was delivered in two days! Delivered during our “Imelda Event” here in the Houston area. The delivery gentleman kindly set it into the foyer to get it out of the weather. I was home alone and pushed the box into the living room. I slid it out of the box and read the directions and put it together in about 5 minutes. Very simple. The chair is very classy and elegant looking. It is firm sitting just as we like. It was a little stiff reclining it back the first couple of times, but we can already see it getting easier to operate. My hubby came home and Loved it. Sat down in it at noon and he’s still in it at 2:42 pm. Lol. I may not get a chance to sit in it. We are watching the news cover the Imelda Storm and great full to be safe and dry while the new chair is enjoyed! Thank you. We are so Glad we took a chance.
