It applies easily and always holds very well but has always been very easy to remove when needed without causing any damage. I wish the roll was a little bigger for the price but not that big of a problem because such a small amount is needed to properly mount a photo, this 35 foot roll can go a very long way in my use case.

**Q: Is that what I use to tape a photo to a matting to secure it in the frame?**
A: what about use this for taping silk scarf on a backing board? Thanks!

**Q: The product seems to imply it's for mat to mat only, but all the reviews says people are using it to mount the art to the mat.  Is it both?**
A: I use this mat to mat.  If I want to change the top mat, I do not want do damage my art work.  I do, however, affix my pastels directly to the bottom mat because they do not generally need to be protected by hinging in that manner.

**Q: My need isn't for craft work.  I need to repair a 2-inch rip at a crease in my pleated (accordian) window blind.  I've been looking for a tape that is strong, not too thick, and flexible since the shade has to open and close.  I saw the word "hinge" and thought perhaps this tape might work.  Any thoughts? A: Hello P and R!  The Linenco Self Adhesive Linen Tape might work for the application you noted in your question.  The tape is flexible, strong and creates a permanent binding.  I believe that it's flexible enough for the accordion blind but it will depend on how heavy or thick the fabric is that was used to make the blind itself.  I use this tape when mounting photographs and it works great for that application.  It's definitely worth the try.

I use this tape to mount photos and prints inside frames and it holds really well without leaving any damage when you need to reposition something. Being acid free is a big deal if you actually care about preserving prints over time and this tape handles that properly. A single roll lasts a really long time since you only need small strips per mount and it applies cleanly without any wrestling.
