However the best route in this situation is to seek aid from a medical source and act upon their advise in terms of strength or weight levels. I found it easy to use and carried out multiple repetitions whilst sitting watching tv. This improved my grip strength very rapidly after only a few days of use. Admittedly I only had it on the low settings as I'm 68 and hadn't been to the gym since the beginning of lockdown, so my thumbs were very weak. I also haven't used it much recently as it had done the job I bought it for. But I think it is sturdily made and should last a long time. Changing the hand position changes the muscles used. And varying the tension is easy to achieve. Cj ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ a useful little gadget to improve grip strength *by N***T on 7 June 2021* My grip has decreased in strength as a natural consequence of getting older, causing me some difficulties in everyday tasks and in playing bowls (my hobby). I saw this advertised, bought it and it arrived within 2 days. I found it very easy to use and it improved my grip almost instantly, as it exercises the muscles in the hand, fingers and thumb. I found it very easy to sit and watch tv whilst doing repetitions on each hand. It's very easy to alter the tension to increase the effort required to use it as this is a simple screw wheel to increase or decrease it. It is comfortable to use as the handle has a soft rubberised finish instead of being plain metal or plastic. It seems very sturdy so presumably will last for years. It has improved my grip strength almost overnight, enabling me to play my sport without dropping the bowls accidentally.
