Whilst its not very thick, it's perfect for shaping around the sofa so it doesn't look bulky. But then I realised I actually need a bed throw as well and tested this on my double bed - perfect size if you want the edges to hang beautifully. So if you're looking for a throw for a double bed, I'd recommend getting the king size. I ended up getting one of these throws in another colour for my bed. The softness and the subtle pattern/texture really work in my rooms. Price is just about right too.
