Line it with a plastic grocery bag, put these filled doggie-poop bags in it during the week and when your garbage is to be picked up, take the whole thing out of the pot, tie it off and throw it in the garbage. Replace the grocery bag and start again. These bags may be leak-proof, but they are NOT odor-proof, so if you're tossing single dog poop bags in the garbage all week, it will leave behind QUITE the odor, especially in the summer! Ugh!
