They have a nice weight to them, not too delicate, and after a week or more of use they are still looking brand new. The colors arent fading or chipping. They microwave well without issue. And the size is perfect. I had square plates before and prefer the round much more. The functionality of the many different plate and bowl sizes is exactly what i wanted. They are so pretty! I loe they are different flower varieties on each one too.

**Q: Are they marked made in England?**
A: Yes they are marked “Made in England.”

**Q: It says weight is 14,4 oz but it must be more. I need to send it out of country. Someone knows what is the total wight of the box?**
A: I don’t know the total weight of the box but I can tell you that the dishes are very heavy.

**Q: Are these lead and cadmium free?**
A: You should go on the website and read the description about lead in ceramic ware. It doesn't say anything about Cadmium however. I have been using them for years. They are beautiful and I wouldn't replace them with anything else.

**Q: Does it say made in england on the bottom of the bowl? it is difficult to write in china.**
A: Some Portmeirion has been outsourced to China. But the set I bought, shown here, definitely say "Made in England. I love mine!
