## Description

Product description

Review: A must have to reduce noise - I have since upgraded my DAC to a TOTL model which utilizes an internal streamer card via ethernet through Roon. However, I have a few smaller DACs that I still keep around for various reasons, and most of them don't have galvanic isolation. One way of reducing USB noise without streaming is either using a S/PDIF connection, but this is a great way of reducing noise, as well. For example, the first time I got one of my DACs, I thought that something was seriously wrong with it. I won't mention brand names, but it was a cheaper budget DAC, and it didn't have galvanic isolation. I have a gaming PC where I keep a little DAC/amp setup, and my USB connection to the DAC was causing a large amount of glare and harshness. Using a basic power supply eased it a bit, but one of my friends let me borrow this iFi power supply, and I knew I had to have it. It's very high quality and basically solved all of my issues with unwanted glare and harshness. It's really good at helping out noise. No, this isn't the be all end all solution like streaming is or getting a S/PDIF to USB interface, but it still really does a great job of cancelling out a lot of USB nasties.
Review: When it is too Good a third-party problem can occur............. - Cleans up the noise of a switching transformer? Yes it does; however, found a non-use glitch in the marketing world. Bought this to improve sound floor on my Google 4K TV box. desertcart AI was queried and gave a thumbs up for the audiophile extra mile. Here come the glitch, IFI is clean enough the Google Box triggers a setup error on boot saying it cannot derive power the TV USB output, use a (noisy) wall wart power supply. It works, but in this one case too well tricking the TV Box into thinking a setup error with the traditionally cleaner TV 5v USB output. Will attempt to return.

## Features

- ✅ POWER UPGRADE - Actively detects and removes unwanted electrical noise introduced by noisy stock wall warts or plugs to provide a steadier and more reliable direct current to your device, including turntables, media streamers, phono stages, routers, DACs, audio interfaces, and even LED lighting for studio photos
- ✅ QUIET COMFORT - Enjoy clear audio and more defined digital video with the iPower's Active Noise Cancellation, technology derived from military applications that acts similarly to noise cancelling headphones by measuring and inverting the signal from your power supply to create a super quiet noise floor and to filter out spurious frequencies introduced by common household equipment that would interfere or muddy your entertainment experience
- ✅ MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS - Designed to fit common devices, we include 4 different size DC barrel adapters, a center negative adapter for inverting the polarity, and a right angle adapter for when you need more flexibility (The 5 volt version comes with a DC to micro USB adapter, a DC to USB C adapter, and a DC to USB A (female) adapter for use with USB powered gear like the Raspberry Pi or desertcart Fire TV Stick). Choose the iPower that is right for your device based on your devices specifications
- ✅ IMPROVED OUTPUT/INPUT NOISE SUPPRESSION - The new iPower boasts improved components and thicker gauge wiring to deliver improved output/input noise suppression. It's more than 10 times quieter than most audiophile power supplies and will feed your system’s circuits with ultra-quiet, clean power at both the input and the output stages.
- ✅ VARIETY OF VOLTAGES AVAILABLE - iFi offers the iPower in 5V, 9V, 12V, and 15V versions to provide power options for many of the most common audiophile equipment, such as a DAC, music streamer or router, or even a guitar pedal. Choose the voltage model that is right for your device based on your manufacturer's specifications

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A must have to reduce noise
*by L***A on April 9, 2022*

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ When it is too Good a third-party problem can occur.............

Cleans up the noise of a switching transformer? Yes it does; however, found a non-use glitch in the marketing world. Bought this to improve sound floor on my Google 4K TV box. Amazon AI was queried and gave a thumbs up for the audiophile extra mile. Here come the glitch, IFI is clean enough the Google Box triggers a setup error on boot saying it cannot derive power the TV USB output, use a (noisy) wall wart power supply. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but pricey
*by A***N on June 11, 2025*

Okay, I was completely skeptical about his, but it does have some merit. I was wondering if to pick a power brick like this for years ever since I got my iFi ZEN DAC v2, but couldn't justify the price for just a power brick for a DAC that's already working fine enough off my USB power. Eventually picked one up because I wanted to see if offloading the DAC's power off the USB will allow me not to change my convoluted USB desktop setup, and along the way see how much of a snake oil this product is. So: 1. This product is not snake oil. The quality difference is much more noticeable than it has any right to be. 2. The offloading of the USB power draw allows me to still keep my current USB setup. I wish I bought this sooner. But this is such a weird product to get for me. Had nothing like this, and it was very hard for me to justify it. And that's part of why it's only 4 out of 5 stars. It's good, but it's not $80 good.
