I put them on the inside and I went outside to look at a few before I continued to the next window and I noticed that the ones with my blinds closed behind them showed up better and were not as sheer as the ones with the blinds open so I put a few on without taking the white paper backing off and the decals showed up better than taking the backing off so I'm going to see how leaving the backing on works for now.
