When I first tried to install it, I had the exact same issues as the other reviews you may have seen. Mounts would just slip around the bar no matter how hard you tightened it. Couple of things to consider:1. If your bars do not have a straight spot were both mounts can align this will not work. -- If you look in the picture my bars have a slight bend out from center -- I had to bring the mounts closer together where the straight bar can slide through2. If your bars are thin and you have to use the spacers that came with it, this will be where it will start slipping. -- To solve this, you will have to find some thin rubber gaskets to put between the mount and the spacer as well as the spacer and the bar (if you feel it is worth the extra work) -- If you use just the mount (no spacer) the rubber gasket it comes with will work, but you have to tighten it super tight - Or get some thin rubber since the gasket it comes with is not very good.This bar is really good once you get it on. Super light and the bar and mounts are aluminum. I gave this bar 4 stars because it is good quality, however no instructions and the gaskets should have been a softer rubber so it would not slip as much.
