Is it the same one in curry powder?** A: No, it is not the same as curry powder. This is used primarily for cosmetic purposes and is not edible. What you want for cooking is the yellow turmuric - (curcuma longa). This is curcuma aromatica. **Q: how often can turmeric mask be used on the face?** A: You asked how often turmeric can be used. Food grade turmeric I've used daily without a problem. Kasturi turmeric is different however. It doesn't stain and is meant for skin, but can be irritating to some people. From my own experience I wouldn't use it more than 3x a week. It will depend on the sensitivity of your face. Also, be very cautious with how much of it you use in a mask. Start smaller and work your way up.
