He was worried he might feel less strength in his kick in these, as they are slightly shorter than his old ones. He decided the benefit of being able to swim closer to coral reefs with less chance of kicking and destroying the beauty was worth the sacrifice, but in the end he didn't notice it being any harder to glide through the water, and felt like he could maneuver around better! I replaced my rubber straps with spring types. Easier to get off before climbing a ladder to getback in the boat **Q: Are mine sized right? i ordered a small because i wear a ladies 8-8.5. they "fit," but when i tighten the straps, there's 6" flapping on each size.** A: It sounds like you got the right size, but wondering if you are wearing booties with the fins?
