**Q: Is the metal stem removable? I need to replace only the wheel part.**
A: I don't think you can remove the metal stem. It's all one piece.

**Q: Does this have an annoying brake like the original ikea wheels?**
A: No. That's the main reason I bought these wheels. After replacing the IKEA wheels, I can now roll the chair around without having to sit in it. These are very nice wheels.

**Q: The Ikea casters do not roll unless there is a lot of weight on the chair. Do theses roll even if the chair is pushed un weighted across the floor?**
A: Yes
