Review: Really inspiring - I’d not come across this author before. I enjoy reading about peoples cycling journeys with the humour and enthusiasm writers are able to bring. Sadly this book is not a cycling memoir littered with funny antidotes. But it is a practical guide to actually go cycle touring. It is full of practical tips and useful advice, from different types of accommodation to stay in (or wild camping if there isn’t anywhere) to how to keep yourself clean whilst on the road without a shower insight. Any arguments you can think of (too unfit, no experience, too much like hard work) are quickly batted away leaving you thinking “hey I can do this”. This definitely wasn’t the book I was expecting. But it has fired up my enthusiasm to try cycle touring. It’s a really good practical guide with personal insights and solutions. I’d highly recommend it and you never know you might be inspired to give it a go. Review: A Superb book for cycle tourers - I have been following Gianni on his Brompton Traveller channel on YouTube for some time. His amazing journeys around the world are inspiring for anyone with an interest in bicycle touring. When I saw he had written a book I just had to get it. I'm so glad I did, because this well written, easy to read book is full of useful information and advice gained from real experience by the author on his many trips. It is the great Brompton riders, like the author, that inspired me to buy my own Brompton and I'm so glad I did. Next step is to start some serious touring on it following the advice contained in this wonderful book. Very highly recommended to anyone interested in cycling, touring or Brompton. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | 381,591 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) 701 in Cycling (Books) 2,789 in Adventure Travel (Books) | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 98 Reviews | ## Images ![Touring On A Folding Bike: A manual on bike touring with folding bikes - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61+JdxY1ofS.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Media Format** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really inspiring *by S***S on 7 August 2022* I’d not come across this author before. This book is built on the experiences of those journeys and, in a straightforward way, presents his ideas about how to prepare for similar trips. The book is very readable and, for me, contains the appropriate level of detail required to make a success of similar journeys. ## Frequently Bought Together - Touring On A Folding Bike: A manual on bike touring with folding bikes - Unfolding Travels: World Travels on a Folding Bike - Unfolding Further: More Travels on a Folding Bike --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hr/products/320014822-touring-on-a-folding-bike-a-manual-on-bike-touring](https://www.desertcart.hr/products/320014822-touring-on-a-folding-bike-a-manual-on-bike-touring) --- *Product available on Desertcart Croatia* *Store origin: HR* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
