I followed the simple instructions for a flawless installation. It does not interfere with the touchscreen, all functions work well with the protector in place. With the protector in place, I find the screen is less prone to fingerprints and is easy to wipe dust away. The only drawback is that it is more reflective than the actual screen, so in some conditions the reflection makes it difficult to see parts of the screen.
