Aside from looking super cool, they do a great job of cutting through bad conditions. I was driving in a blizzard and a big tow truck flew by me and then of course slowed down right in front of me to basically the speed I was going, kicking up a ton of snow and water from the road directly into my windshield. My headlights made the situation considerably worse so I flicked those off and these on and it was like night and day (except it actually got overall darker because my headlights weren't blinding me off the snow). Super easy installation, good enough packaging that they arrived undamaged. They warm up reasonably quickly.
