There are six swing-arm filters mounted on heavy filter mounts. The solid brass sextant has a black finish to reduce reflections. The bottom of the index arm can be squeezed to pull the micrometer pinion away from the ground rack, allowing fast large angular movements of the index arm. The sextant comes complete with two interchangeable telescopes. One telescope has a 28mm lens & the other telescope has a 22mm lens. Mirror adjustments can be made using the adjustment screws. On the back of the sextant is a large hardwood handle. The sextant measures 9.5" wide and 10" tall, and 5" deep. The sextant is very solid and weighs 4 lbs, 6 ounces with the standard telescope, and 10 lbs with the hardwood case. The sextant comes with a beautiful velvet-lined hardwood case with formed storage for both telescopes and the sextant. The front of the case has a rotating clasp and a brass handle. While this sextant is fully functional, it is not calibrated and not intended for navigation.
