I found washing it helped too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality and easy to put on *by H***N on 28 January 2026* So I bought this cause the reviews led me to believe this will be a quality product and it didn't disappoint. The wirecutter pick is actually for their pillow cases, they ripped the mattress protector and didn't give it a pick (I think WC messed up). The instructions said to wash before use to soften it and get rid of smells. It smelt fine and I'm not sleeping directly on it so on it went. After zipping it up there was a huge air pocket in there (good sign, if it holds in air it'll hold out water) so I opened the zipper and squeezed it out. The warranty card says 5 year warranty and to register it but the web link is broken.
