For a small pump, it is surprisingly powerful. I've had it for 2 months and I haven't had to clean the filter yet, but not much can get through the small holes I've made in the top cover, it keeps leaves and other debris from clogging filter. Two months later, it's still working very well. I also observed the fountain working in complete cloud coverage on a few occasions. It wasn't coming out as high as it was in the video, but it was a steady flow, to be honest, it is not the norm, most overcast days it does not work. The still photo was taken in the rain and you can see how well it was pumping out. The video was taken on a sunny day, but in a partly shaded area. It doesn't work at all at night, but it's not expected to, it has no battery back up.
