Fits ARE, Snuptop, Leer, ATC, & Century brands, along with many others. These do not fit every camper shell brand & model door, so please measure your struts before replacing with these. All gas props CANNOT be compressed by hand, so please do not think they are defective because the won't close using hand/arm pressure. A LOT of pressure is required to compress these props!2. All gas props need to be installed in the OPEN / EXTENDED position, so please do not try to compress and install them in the compressed position. Therefore, open your door to ensure your mounted props are EXTENDED.3. VERY IMPORTANT: Use another person's help (or 2 people for heavier doors) to hold the door in the extended position while you remove the old gas prop. Do NOT use a broomstick or any other device to hold the door open while you remove the prop. it may fall & cause you or your vehicle serious damage.4.To remove your old gas prop, use a small screwdriver to lift up on the retaining band, then pull the gas prop end away from the mount. You do not need to remove the retaining metal band, just lift it away from the nylon head enough to allow the head to come off.5. To install, place the gas prop so that the wide (black part) of the gas prop (the body) is on the top, and the shaft (silver part) is on the bottom when the door is in the closed/resting position. This is so that the oil in the body will keep the seal wet, preventing it from cracking & allowing all of the pre-charged air out, resulting in failure. After aligning properly, press the nylon end head of each shock onto the 10mm ball mount. You will NOT need to lift up on the band to install. Review: No issues after 1 1/2 years from installation - These replaced some factory originals in a Leer pickup truck shell, so they were matched exactly. Install was not hard (thank you, YouTube) and they have been in place for at least a year and a half now and seen plenty of use in daily chores, errands and frequent travel and camping. FWIW I do not own a garage so these are exposed to Northern California weather at 2,000 feet of elevation at all times. That's a lot of 105F in the shade, cold enough to snow and a lot of light and UV exposure. Review: Exact fit for my ARE topper - I own a 2012 Chevy Silverado with a cab high ARE topper. The original gas shocks were weak and would not hold the glass window up safely. I ordered these as the number on the old shocks indicated this is the correct size. They came very quickly and they mounted very easily. What a difference. The Topper window now holds itself up is actually take force to shut it. if any complaint, I think they’re almost too strong, but since they were the exact replacement, I’ll work with them. This size of door shock absorber is for tall medium weight rear or side camper shell doors. Each canopy shock has 38 lbs of pressure, for a total of 76 lbs of pressure. Please note that this does not mean that it can lift something that is 76 lbs. the typical hinged-style door weight for this prop is approximately 50-70 lbs, including the weight of the camper shell locks and keys. - These gas lift cylinders do not fit all truck cap/camper shell brands/models. Measure your strut from center of socket to center of socket when fully opened & fully closed to get accurate measurement. See pictures to determine how to measure. Do NOT measure from end to end. Measurement must be from the center of plastic ball mount on each end of the gas spring lift. The size is very close, but that model has angled fittings (where the struts attach to the ball mounts), where these are straight, so they will not stay on very well. I would go to your local ARE dealer and ask for Suspa brand part# C16-19568, or the Stabilus brand part number you gave us. You can also look for them on Amazon. I can't tell the length by those numbers, but I would measure it in the open (extended) position. If it is around 16", then our 158094-38-10 will work okay. If it is closer to 14", then the 139085-40-10 will work better. If they are even shorter, around 12", then the 122075-40-10 will work best. These all have more pressure, but only about 3-5 lbs more, which is not enough to make a huge difference. If anything they will open the door more quickly and last longer. I hope this helps. I have a ranch camper shell** A: Measure the old lifters, make sure your camper lid is light enough to take the weight. Mine is a Leer camper shell, I use a 38lbs gas lifter 16 inches. Works great. **Q: Will this fit stabilus lift o mat 025531 0110n 010/12c27 : on my are shell?** A: No, this is a 38 lb prop. Sounds like you have a 24 lb prop. The only 24lb props we sell are 12" and 14". Open you window as high as you can and measure from center of ball mount to center of ball mount to see what will fit. I hope this helps.
