I feel like that says it all, but alas, I'm not a man of few words. The soles protect well from slipping in water, although I'm not sure if I'd wear them in ice. But I'm clumsy, so I stay away from ice in general. The foot bed has just enough cushioning to keep your feet from aching after walking in them for awhile. I would say they're a bit on the narrow side, which works for me because I have narrow feet. I do recommend ordering half to a size up as the toe box is slightly narrow. The shaft is taller than some other mud boots and hits about mid-calf, but I'm a taller person, so those who are verically challenged might find them at or just below the knee. As for the appearance, they're cute. They do look a little cheap and cartoonish but I think they're adorable. If you're looking for some classy, expensive looking boots to wear to the local Walmart, these aren't the ones. They kind of remind me of the go-go boots from back in the day. I am interested to see how well they hold up.
