I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the car adapter (cigarette lighter) is recessed so I was having a hard time finding a diffuser that was long enough to use. This diffuser is plenty long enough.If you turn it on Pay attention to the color lights on the top of the diffuser. If you tap it once it is only used as a humidifier, if you tap it twice it is then a essential oil diffuser.The only other advice I would give is to buy extra filters that fit into the diffuser.
