The metal can get expose pretty easily. I used it to trim some plain stainless steel panels. I believe the metal would rust over time. **Q: Will this work for boat windshield?** A: The fiberglass I install this product on was roughly 7/32”. It will probably fit wider material. I had to tap it into place with rubber mallet. Nothing crazy. But if the boat windshield is a little more flexible.
