The problem is more likely the age of the player you were using or the codec you used to burn the disc. Older players cannot play H.264 discs. To protect against that try burning a MPEG 2 version instead. MPEG 2 discs will play in most older machines as well as new machines. I love these discs and have had much success with them. **Q: Has anyone used these with an asus bw12b1st burner? any issues?** A: Sorry Drew, I have not used ASUA burner but I use both the Lacie and Pioneer external blu-ray burners and a 10 disc tower from Disc Makers which uses the Pioneer blu-ray burners as I use these Optical Quantum 25GB blu-ray disc. They records fine as I have gone through about 600 blu-ray disc now using this Optical Quantum brand on their 25GB printable disc.
