Every "waterproof" mattress pad seems to have reviews to say they aren't actually waterproof.** A: NO!!! This mattress pad is better described as highly water resistant. You can test by pouring a very small glass of water on the pad while holding your hand flat underneath. Your hand will have moisture on it. We have ordered this at least 4 different times in 4 different sizes and is consistant always! Does a great job of protecting the mattress, is durable and is easy to clean when it does get something on it. It has a towel material feel on top and a stretch nylon like fabric on the sides to go over the mattress. There are a ton of sizes. It’s easy to install in that you put it on like any other fitted sheet and it does stay well, I’ve never had a problem with it falling off. It will get stained if you get something on it and don’t wash it soon after but we’ve never had any problems with that since it goes under the actual fitted sheet.
