Review: Great Gift!! - Bought as a birthday gift for my son. He was very pleased after his first use. Started with cocktail peanuts from the grocery store bin that he chopped per the instructions before using. There was some tweaking to adjust the (peanut) oil flow. The ground product came out of the spigot as a rectangular ribbon that was fairly dry even when the oil flow was set to maximum. He wound up stirring in some additional oil to get the texture he liked. After reading the comments about the mixture of aluminum and plastic parts, I decided to add on the 4 year warranty. After looking at the pieces I don't think there'll be any problem in home usage, where my son is only making a pint of peanut butter every couple of weeks. Still I feel good that he should be able to get several years of service out of it.

A: My unit is 110 volt. I would think you would need a 220v unit

A: Not sure. Mine broke and I just threw it away. Didn't have the patience for it. I bought a1200 watt blender. Does just as good a job and lots less noise.
