These balloons come flat and READY FOR INFLATION. You can choose either regular air or helium. I chose to fill mine with regular air - they DO NOT float when you use regular air. Only helium will make balloons float. Or hydrogen, but I don't recommend that. We all know what happened to the Hindenberg. It is easiest to fill them with a hand pump made for filling balloons or, in a pinch, you could use a metal drinking straw or a bic pen with the guts removed so you have a sturdy plastic tube. The balloons self-seal after inflation, so be sure to push down on that strip right above the inflation hole. A couple of mine did not seem to seal fully, so I just added a bit more air and then twisted and taped the end to create a better seal and they held perfectly.
