Both of us were having really strained issues with such bright sunlight despite having great sunglasses. The Lutein was not enough, and the Lutein/Zeaxanthin combination was a smaller dose of Zeaxanthin. My macular pigmentation levels were very low and my optometrist started me on this product. I started with a high dosage softgel caps daily and within six weeks I experienced a dramatic increase in my pigment levels. I am now on a maintenance dosage of one softgel cap daily. My pigment levels are now normal. I am happy that this is a vegetarian supplement, but I wish they would not include CARRAGEENAN in it. There is controversy over the safety of Carrageenan and I am avoiding it as much as possible. If I can find another 10mg Zeaxanthin eye vitamin without carrageenan, I will most likely switch brands.
