It is perfect for my chair and keeps me warm and relaxed during my marathon research sessions. Unfortunately my husband recently cracked a disc in his spine and has commandeered my precious mat. Biggest difference with this heating pad is there is no “steam” like feel that you get from using a rice bag. I’ve always had to heat my rice warmer to practically the point of scalding to feel like it is working. Love that I get deep heat without the scalding feeling. This warmer has worked so well hubby and I have to take turns sharing it on a daily bases. Definitely relaxes tight muscles and is nice to use when it’s cold out to warm up as well. I use it on my neck too, usually with a hooded sweatshirt to keep directly off my skin which works well.
