Straw homes are easier to get in. And i just checked, it says 3 months on the package, thats usually a generalized average due to the fact ghe ingredients that matter are 99.99% on the container, so its a mystery what even is inside these, could be simple as nicotine concentrate which is cheap, -and came from evolution as a plants mechanism against bugs. What im saying is not knowibg the chemical composition of whats inside it could be affected by humidity, dry air, or tons of variables. Also factor in the amount of ants. It says 3 . months on thr package i just checked for ya. I think longer if it works with your ants, some will disregard it, mainly because how it was previously stored befote you get it, or whatever -but we can't know cause the active ingredient is " OTHER INGREDIENTS " they change the kill food every decade or so , and don't tell the public what we are buying. And if we do it could change back if they felt like it. Ants also are evolving to a lot of things slowly, but in my lab research that's on going with a the company we noticed a change over 20 years using and buying raid. The chemical in it not long ago, maybe 10-15 years was basically amphetamine sodium & salts with other, dangerous to be in the same room with for 5~ hrs. Chemicals.
